The Moran Lady Bulldogs continued building team chemistry through the first week of volleyball matches, going 1-3.

The Lady Bulldogs opened the season Tuesday, Aug. 9 at Rotan, losing 10-25, 8-25, 15-25.

On Thursday, Aug. 11, Moran played three matches at the Benjamin tournament, going 1-2. The Lady Bulldogs opened with  21-25, 18-25 loss to Benjamin JV, followed by a 25-16, 25-9 victory over Trent. Moran closed the tourney with an 18-25, 22-25 loss to Rotan.

Lady Bulldogs coach Jo Hise said she likes what she’s seen so far from her team.

“I’m happy with the girls because I’m meshing two teams – a freshman team and a senior team,” Hise said. “We’re learning how bring these two groups together.”

Hise said a highlight was the way the Lady Bulldogs improved their communication as the week progressed.

“The communication continued to get better every time we played,” she said.
