Tennis dates moved up

Nine Albany tennis players will be headed to North Richland Hills next week to compete in the regional tournament a few days earlier than originally scheduled.

Local tennis coach Sara Wilson received word late last week that the dates had been adjusted, and the tourney is now set for Monday and Tuesday, April 26-27 at the Richland Tennis Center.

Albany High School players who will be on the court Monday are junior Susie Cormack and sophomore Ella Webb in girls doubles, juniors Luke Ivy and Cooper Fairchild in boys doubles, and freshman Jaci Chapman and junior Mikey Hernandez in mixed doubles.

Freshman Brayden Watson will compete in boys singles, along with junior Sarah Cotter and freshman Sidney Russell, both in girls singles.
