Softball signup now underway

Registration is currently underway for girls who want to play in the Albany Girls Softball Association this spring.

Completed forms can be turned in to the school, or applicants can contact board member Beth Roysdon at 325-721-9023. 

Those willing to assist the association are encouraged to call Roysdon to find out where volunteers are still needed.

Registration fees are $45 for the first player in a family, and $30 more for each additional sibling entered in the league. Scholarships are available.

Age levels for Albany players this year will include under-6, under-8, under-10, under-12, and under-14 as of Jan. 1. According to Roysdon, the games will be played in Albany, Breckenridge, and possibly additional nearby towns depending on the age group.

Registration forms and fees should be turned in by Friday, Feb. 7.

“We hope that this will be another great year,” Roysdon said. “It’s all about the girls and giving them a chance to play ball.”
