This is the last week to sign up  any softball players for the spring season with the Albany Girls Softball Association.

Jacey Shack, president of AGSA, said registration forms have been delivered to all local schools.

He also said there will be an open board meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the Scout Hut.

“Registration forms are available at the schools or on the Albany Softball Facebook page,” said Shack. “All forms are due back to the schools by Friday, Feb. 12.”

Registration fees are $50 for the first player in a family. If there are two players, the cost will be $75. Scholarships are available.

“If you paid a fee last year and didn’t get a refund, you will not have to pay this year,” said Shack.

Players will be divided into teams based on age, with divisions for under-6, under-8, under-10, under-12, and under-14 (as of Jan. 1).

Games will be played in Albany, Breckenridge, and possibly other towns.

Completed forms can be turned in to the school, or applicants can call Shack at 325-762-0006.

“The meeting is open to anyone who has questions or needs more information about the season,” said Shack. “We also need volunteers who are willing to assist the association during the season.”
