Little League

Players still have a couple of weeks to register for Albany Little League’s 2024 season, but time is running out.

Albany Little League organizer Paul Hamilton said about 45 players have registered so far, well behind the 160 who signed up last year.

The baseball program will continue with online registration this year, but information on how to register is available through Nancy Smith Elementary School.

To register, visit www. albanytxll.com.

Any child who played last year will already have an account, Hamilton said. New players will need to set up an account and then register for the upcoming season.

The registration deadline for Tee-Ball, Coach Pitch, Little League Majors and Minors, Intermediate, and Junior leagues will be in the next week or two, Hamilton said.

The season will start following Albany’s spring break, which is March 11-15. Hamilton said an exact start date will be determined after registration is finished.

The season will last into May with all-star competition beginning in June.

Registration fees remain unchanged, starting at $50 for Tee-Ball and Coach Pitch, $75 for Majors and Minors, and $85 for Intermediate and Juniors. Scholarships are available.

Families having three or more children participating will receive a discount starting with the third child.

All age groups are co-ed. For more information, contact Hamilton at 214543-9947.
