Send-off set noon today

Albany Lions fans had a chance to get pepped up onacoolDecemberevening Wednesday, Dec. 6, as the Albany Athletic Booster Clubhostedanotherdowntown pep rally in preparation for the next round of the football playoffs.

The Albany Lions will play the Sunray Bobcats in a Class 2A Division II state semifinal at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 (tonight), at Lubbock’s Lowrey Field.

The traditional beating of the spirit drum commenced following the pep rally and will continue until the team departs for Lubbock. The send-off is scheduled for noon.

Clear Fork Bank is sponsoring a bus to give fans a ride to the game.

The bus will depart at 1:00 p.m. today from the Chamber of Commerce parking lot. Fans are advised to arrive 15-20 minutes before departure to board.
