SCYLA tournament tees off July 19–20 at AGC

The Shackelford County Youth & Livestock Association will host its annual 3-Person Golf Scramble at Albany Golf Club on Friday and Saturday, July 19–20, with proceeds benefiting local students who participate in the county stock show.

The tournament is limited to 40 teams, and while the afternoon flight is already full, a few morning spots remain for the 8:30 a.m. tee time. Entry is $125 per player.

In addition to the tournament, a meal will be provided Saturday evening followed by a Calcutta and live music by Matt Stapp.

This year’s auction will feature several high-profile items, including a Scottie Scheffler signed Masters flag, a Scotty Cameron putter, a Colt McCoy autographed Texas Longhorns jersey, and a Von Miller signed NFL jersey.

Last year’s event raised over $40,000 to support local exhibitors, and organizers are hopeful they’ll meet or exceed that total again this year.

Sponsorships are still available, ranging from $300 Bronze level to $2,000 Corporate level. Sponsors will receive meal access and signage on the course, with top-tier sponsors receiving banner placement.

All funds raised go directly toward youth participants in the Shackelford County stock show. Over the past three years, projects like this have nearly doubled the premium sale payouts for exhibitors.

To register or sponsor, contact Reggy Spencer at (325) 370‑8990 or Shawn Sutton at (325) 514‑3789.
