The Albany Lions have finalized their football schedules for the 2022 and 2023 football seasons.

Albany will kick off the 2022 season at 6:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at home against Lubbock Trinity Christian.

All other games will start at 7:00 p.m.

“Homecoming is not set yet,” head coach Denney Faith said.

Preseason scrimmages will be played against Coleman on Aug. 12 and Early on Aug. 18.

“The scrimmages are still TBA,” Faith said. “We will have to set the start times. Coleman will probably be here at home, and we’re hoping Early will be away.”

The Lions start District 6-2A Division II playing Oct. 7 at Miles.

Other nondistrict home dates are Hawley on Sept. 16 and Comanche on Sept. 23. District home dates will be Cross Plains on Oct. 14 and Abilene Texas Leadership Charter Academy on  Nov. 4.

Albany will have back-to-back road games twice – Sept. 2 at Dublin and Sept. 9 at Seymour, then Oct. 21 at Roscoe and Oct. 28 at Hamlin in district.
