TheAlbanytennisteam won two draws Tuesday, March 26 at the Parker County Peach Bowl Tournament in Weatherford.

Alocal tourney Tuesday, April 2 will be played on newly resurfaced courts.

At Weatherford, Sidney Russell claimed her third tournament title of the spring, winning girls singlesAbracket. The boys doubles team of Brayden WatsonandCadeFairchild won the A bracket.

“There was good competition that we don’t normally see,” coach M.J. Reneau said. “They had to play in some cold weather.”

In girls doubles, Jaci Chapman and Robyn Trail were fifth in the A bracket. In mixed doubles, Abi and JakeHalewontheconsolation title in the A bracket, whileMimiIvyandJaxson Street finished third in the B bracket.

Girls Singles

Sidney Russell def. Brock 8-2, def. FW Paschal 8-1, def. Weatherford 8-2, def. FW Chisholm Trail 8-0 for the A bracket championship.

Girls Doubles

Jaci Chapman-Robyn Trail def. Peaster 8-1, lost to Brock 6-8, def. Keller Fossil Ridge 8-2, def. Weatherford 8-1 for fifth place in A bracket.

Boys Singles

Christian Hernandez lost to Haslett Eaton 1-8, lost to Decatur 3-8.

Boys Doubles

Cade Fairchild-Brayden Watson def. Azle 8-1, def. FW Chisholm Trail 8-3, def. Saginaw Boswell 9-7, def. FW Chisholm Trail 8-4 for the A championship.

Mixed Doubles

Abi Hale-Jake Hale lost to Azle 4-8, def. Weatherford 8-2, def. Millsap 8-2, def. FW Chisholm Trail 9-8 (7-5) for A consolation.

Mimi Ivy-Jaxson Street def. Weatherford 8-2, lost to Peaster 8-9 (3-7), def. Graham 8-2 for third place in B bracket.
