The 2018 football program will be sent to the printers next week, and everyone who still wants to help support the local high school and junior high athletes, encourage a student at the secondary school, and/or promote their business by placing an ad in the magazine-type program is asked to do so as soon as possible.

“Sales have been going well,” said Albany Athletic Booster Club treasurer Shawnee Tischler. “But we still have room for some more ads. Please get them to us ASAP!”

Ad prices are $30 for business card size, $60 for a quarter page, $120 for a half page, and $225 for a full page.

The magazine-type program is sold at all of the home football games and the ad sales are typically the Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

“Purchasing an ad is a way to show off and support your child, whether they are in athletics or not,” said Tischler. “It is for any child at the school, and is also an inexpensive advertisement for your business.”

The club uses the money raised by the ad sales to help support all of the high school and junior high sports.

Individuals and business owners who wish to be included in the 2018 Albany Lion home football programs should contact a member of the Booster Club by Monday if possible.

The club has a meeting scheduled for Monday, July 30, at 6:00 p.m. in the high school library.

“We plan to gather up all our ads at Monday night’s meeting and get them to The Albany News by Wednesday, Aug. 1,” said Tischler. “We will also be discussing team parents for the various sports teams and the Ice Cream Supper. Please come and join us!”

To find out more information about joining the Athletic Boosters, purchasing an ad, or becoming a team parent, please call Tishler at 325-721-4776 or club president Mindy Ary at 325-762-2447, ext. 112.
