Players earn post-season recognition

Four Albany basketball players have been recognized with selection to the Class 2A All-Big Country Basketball team.

Senior Barrett Beal was unanimously picked for the first team, while sophomore Cole Chapman received the Sixth Man Award for the team.

Both Beal and Chapman also were selected as Honorable Mention for the All-Big Country Super Team, which includes players from all classifications.

Freshman Adam Hill and sophomore Coy ­Lefevre both received Honorable Mention for the Class 2A team.

Beal, a 6-0 guard for the Lions, averaged 14.5 points per game for the season, along with 3.2 assists, and 2.4 steals. He was also named as the District 10-2A MVP.

Chapman, a 6-2 forward, received a first team all-district selection, averaging 12.5 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Lions.
