Moran’s Alli Scott to run at state

Moran sophomore athlete Alli Scott took home the gold in the 100 meter hurdles at the Region 2 1A track meet at Angelo State University in April and earned a trip to the University Interscholastic League Track and Field State Championships taking place this weekend, May 6 to May 8.
The girls 1A 100 meter hurdles is the third event on Saturday, May 8, in Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas campus in Austin.
The stadium is located at 707 Clyde Littlefield Drive.
According to the website MileSplit, Scott will be in lane seven out of nine in her event, and her time of 16.84 puts her in sixth place in her heat.
Makenna Byrd sits in the top spot with a time of 15.84, followed by Paige Elliott at 16:06 and Jordan Driver with 16.30.
Fourth seed is Kylie Seidenberger with a time of 16.73 with Kayla Mott barely edging out Scott at 16.82.
A send-off for Scott is being arranged for Friday afternoon in front of the school.
Coach John Hughes and teammate Hannah Noble will travel to the state meet with Scott.
Spectator information
Spectators will be allowed to attend the meet in a limited capacity and tickets can be purchased online at the UIL website or onsite.
No cash sales will be taken at the meet and individuals ages two and up will need to purchase a ticket.
Ticket prices range from $15 for a single session to $25 for an all-day pass.
Social distancing will be enforced in both Mike A. Myers Stadium and Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at all times.
All spectators will be required to enter through Mike A. Myers Stadium gates 1-4, and assigned ingress and egress routes to all seating sections will be used to promote social distancing.
Stickers will be placed on stadium bleachers to denote unavailable seats, and face coverings are required for everyone while on campus and inside the stadium, including the concourse, restrooms, dormitories, and seats.
Masks are not required when consuming food or beverages.
