Moran tennis players compete

The Moran athletic year is down to tennis this spring as three boys players are preparing for the upcoming District 13-1A tournament.

Singles player Chase Murk and doubles partners Caleb York and Ellis Hise will compete Thursday, April 18 in the Santa Anna tournament, which will be played in Early and Brownwood. The district tournament is Monday, April 22 at Brownwood.

The Santa Anna tournament is Moran’s first since attending the Zephyr tournament on March 25. Moran also played at the rain-shortened Abilene High tournament on Thursday, March 21.

“We’ve had some good practice this year,” coach Jo Hise said. “I’m excited to see what we do in these next two tournaments.”
