Moran teams play Kopperl, Blackwell

The Moran Lady Bulldogs varsity basketball team traveled to Kopperl on Tuesday, Dec. 8, which was a change in the original schedule due to COVID issues. 

The girls came up short, losing 34-32. 

Dariann Hawley was the leading scorer with 14 points, with 12 of her points coming from three-point shots. 

Hannah Noble added nine points, Hannah Rogers had five, and Emily Murk had four. 

The Lady Bulldogs hosted Blackwell on Friday, Dec. 11, losing the contest 57-24. 

Hawley led the scoring with nine points.Rogers had five, while Murk and Allie Scott added four points each, and Noble had two points. 

The Lady Bulldogs were scheduled to play the Cisco JV on Tuesday, Dec. 15, which is another change in the team’s original schedule. 

Bulldog Basketball

The Moran Bulldogs lost to Blackwell 68-6 at home last Friday, Dec. 11. 

Corey Miller scored all six points for the Bulldogs. 

JH Basketball

The Moran junior high basketball  program has a combined boys and girls team that also has been in action.

The team lost to Eula 33-3, with Ellis Hise scoring all points. 

The combined team faced Rising Star on Monday, Dec. 14, losing 43-17. Hise was the leading scorer followed by Travis Eason and LeAnn Sikes. 

After Christmas, the junior high will return to two separate teams. The squads will not play again until after Christmas when they are scheduled to host May on Monday, Jan. 11.
