Moran’s high school teams fell in Bryson on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The Bryson Cowgirls handed the Lady Bulldogs a 39-15 loss.

“We were short handed, due to injuries and players being out for Thanksgiving,” said coach John Hughes. “The girls played hard and gave everything they had tonight, so I’m extremely proud of them. They continue to grow and improve with each game.”

Freshmen Chloe Hendricks and Emily Murk filled in for missing players.

Scoring for Moran were sophomore Johnnie Hise 12, and senior November Meredith 3.

“All in all, I have been pleased with the work the young ladies have been putting in,” said Hughes. “The record may not show it, but they continue to improve every day, even though most of them have missed a couple of years of basketball due to low numbers.”

The Bulldogs, with only six men on the roster, lost to the Cowboys 25-54.

Details were not available as of press time on Tuesday.

The varsity teams were in Throckmorton on Tuesday, Dec. 3, with a 6:00 p.m. tip off for the girls, followed by the boys game.

Details were not available at press time and will be reported next week.

Junior High Teams

Both of Moran’s middle school teams lost home games to Ranger on Monday, Dec. 2.

Schedule

On Friday, Dec. 6, the high school teams host Paint Creek in Moran starting at 6:00 p.m.

Moran plays in Woodson on Tuesday, Dec. 10 and at the Zephyr tournament Dec. 12-14.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Newcastle on Tuesday, Dec. 17, before taking off for the Christmas break.

The varsity boys have games planned on Dec. 20 against Throckmorton and on Dec. 30 with Jayton.

The girls start district match ups on Friday, Jan. 10, and the boys’ conference games begin one week later.

Moran plays in District 20-A with Baird, Eula, Gordon, Ranger, and Strawn.
