Health issues continued to be a problem for the Moran volleyball team last week as the Lady Bulldogs dropped their only match in three sets.

The Lady Bulldogs began their last week before the start of district play Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Woodson. Results will be reported next week. On Friday, Sept. 30, Moran will host Rochelle at 5:00 p.m. as the schools match up for both volleyball and football.

The Lady Bulldogs had just seven players available Saturday, Sept. 24, when they lost 5-25, 18-25, 14-25 at Garner.

“We had a slow start but played well the last two sets,” coach Jo Hise said. “Practice was hard last week without everybody there. We worked a lot on individual skills.”

Moran opens District 14-1A play Saturday, Oct. 8 at Stawn.

Cross Country

Moran made its second outing of the cross country season Wednesday, Sept. 28 at Rotan. Results will be reported next week.

Hise expected more runners to be available after just five competed last week at Merkel.

The District 13-1A meet is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Eula.
