A member of the Lady Bulldog volleyball team was awarded one of the superlative awards, and other Moran players were  selected spots on the first  and second District 6 1-A All-District teams.

Senior November Meredith was chosen as the Outstanding Setter.

Sophomore Johnnie Hise was named to the District  6 1-A First Team.

Second Team accolades were given to junior Dariann Hawley and sophomore Hannah Rogers.

Junior Tiffany Wade, freshman Emily Murk, and junior Baylee Orsak were honorable mentions.

Six of Moran’s volleyball players were named to the 1A Academic All-District team including Meredith, Hawley, Hise, Rogers, and sophomores Reshaley Schafer and Harmony Slaughter.

“I am extremely impressed with how each girl performed this year in the classroom and on the court,” said coach Jo Hise. “I wish I could have given honors to each of my players. They all made great gains as the year progressed.”

Moran plays volleyball in the combined 1-A and 2-A District 6 along with 2-A Albany and Hawley, and fellow 1-A schools Newcastle, Ranger, Strawn, and Woodson. The top teams in each division enter into their respective playoff brackets.

Newcastle was the District 6-A leader, followed by Strawn, and then Woodson in third. Moran did not advance to post-season play.
