The Moran Lady Bulldogs dropped two road matches last week, one while playing shorthanded, before finally getting to take their home court for the first time this season.

On Sept. 19, Moran hosted Rotan in the first event on the new floor recently installed in the gym. A ribbon cutting for the renovated facility was held earlier that afternoon.

Results of the game will be reported next week.

Moran will host Trent at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 in the first of several homecoming activities scheduled.

On Sept. 12, Moran lost 6-25, 10-25, 12-25. On Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs fell to Abilene TLCA 11-25, 13-25, 11-25.

“We played a ghost player on Saturday,” coach Jo Hise said. “The girls had fun and played better because of that. They weren’t so stressed out.”

Junior High

On Monday, Sept. 18, Moran’s junior high teams scrimmaged at Rising Star.

“We kept score so we’d know when to change courts,” Hise said. “We were teaching them how to sub in and out and rotate.”
