The Moran Lady Bulldogs dropped two district basketball games last week before winter weather jumbled this week’s schedule.

Weather forced postponement of games scheduled on Tuesday, Jan. 31 to Thursday, Feb. 2 (tonight). Moran will host May with the girls game tipping off at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys game. Moran will hold senior night ceremonies for the Lady Bulldogs before the girls game.

On Friday, Feb. 3, the Moran teams will visit Eula. On Tuesday, Feb. 7, Moran visits Baird, closing out the girls season.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, the Lady Bulldogs lost 75-26 to Cross Plains at home. Alyssa Allred scored 12 points and Alli Scott had 11 to lead Moran. Emily Murk added three points.

On Friday, Jan. 27, Moran lost 49-30 at Rising Star. The Lady Bulldogs led 12-9 after one quarter but were outscored 31-4 over the second and third. Scott scored 18 points with Allred getting 10 and Murk two.

Results for Moran’s boys games against Cross Plains and Rising Star were not available.

Junior High

Moran’s junior high games scheduled for Monday, Jan. 30 at Eula were cancelled because of the winter storm that moved into the area. Moran athletic director John Hughes said the games will not be made up.

Moran concludes its junior high schedule Monday, Feb. 6 at Baird.
