The Moran football team had its first scrimmage of the year against Baird last Friday, Aug. 14.

Moran football coach John Hughes said the scrimmage went well, with positives and negatives, but overall the players did a good job.

“We have a shot at being competitive and making the playoffs,” Hughes said. “Our schedule overall has some tough teams and some teams we have to beat to feel good about ourselves going into district play.”

The Moran Bulldogs will travel to Gustine on Friday, Aug. 21 for a four-way scrimmage with Buckholtz, Lingleville, and Gustine.

Volleyball Schedule

The Lady Bulldogs played an in-house scrimmage last Saturday.

Moran volleyball coach Jo Hise said the team will travel to Gorman on Friday, Aug. 21, and the first home game will be Aug. 28 against Benjamin.
