Moran boys to finish season Tuesday

Three of Moran’s basketball teams completed their seasons this week with final games for the junior high players on Monday, Feb. 4, and on Tuesday, Feb. 4 for the girls varsity team.

The Bulldogs still have two district games left, and they will play in Gordon tomorrow, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. and at 8:00 p.m. in Ranger next Tuesday, Feb. 12.

Junior High Results

The junior high Lady Bulldogs lost in Strawn this Monday, 15-42.

Scoring for Moran were Chole Hendricks 9 and Emily Murk 4.

“I am very proud of all of these girls for giving their time and effort this season,” said coach Dakota Fowler. “I am excited to see what they will do in the future.”

The junior high boys results were not available at press time.

Varsity Boys

The Bulldogs lost both of their games last week.

Baird pressed the home court advantage to defeat Moran 49-29 on Tuesday, Jan. 29.

The Eula Pirates sailed into Moran on Friday, Feb. 1 and plundered the Bulldogs 67-30.

Varsity Girls

The Lady Bulldogs ended the season with a set of losses last week, falling to the Lady Bears in Baird on Tuesday 14-81.

Scoring for Moran were Johnnie Hise 4, Reshaley Schafer 4, Jaylynn Roberts 3, and Summer Pederson 3.

On Friday, Feb. 1, Eula beat the Lady Bulldogs 72-22.

Scoring for Moran were Hise 7, Roberts 7, and Dariann Hawley 6.

Results of the high school games with Strawn on Tuesday, Feb. 5 were not available at press time and will be reported next week.
