Moran boys finish basketball season, start spring

The Moran Bulldogs closed out their boys basketball season Tuesday, Feb. 13 with a 64-15 loss at Rising Star.

The outing was the final game for Moran seniors Danny O’Keefe, Zech Henderson, and Caleb York.

Rising Star built a 22-6 lead in the first quarter and continued to extend the margin the rest of the way.

Garrett Hamilton led Moranwithfivepoints,nine rebounds, and four blocks.

O’Keefe, Henderson, York,CottenCampbell,and LandonMorenoeachscored two points.

O’Keefehadsixrebounds and two steals, Campbell hadfiverebounds,andYork made two steals.

Track Season

Moran athletes move from the gym to the track with the start of the spring sports season.

The junior high teams will be the first to compete, attending meets Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Breckenridge and March 4 at Rising Star.

Thehighschoolschedule will start Thursday, March 7 at Rising Star. Moran will attend the Possum Kingdom Relays at Graham on Friday, March 15, then go tomeetsatMayandAlbany before district on April 1 at May.
