Moran basketball honors reported

Several Moran athletes have received honors following the 2020-2021 basketball season.

Senior Dariann Hawley was named to the First Team Academic All-State Team.

Senior Corey Miller and junior Arren Hawley received Honorable Mention honors, with Hawley also named Academic All-District.

Junior High Track

Moran junior high track team members participated in the May Tiger Relays on Monday, March 15.

Boys Results

Ellis Hise placed sixth in the 400 meter dash, third in the triple jump, and fifth in the 100 meter dash.

Cotten Campbell was sixth in shot put, and Chase Murk competed in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes.

The junior high boys finished the meet in eighth  place. 

Girls Results

Cassandra Mendez placed third in the long jump, first in the 100 meter dash, second in the 400 meter dash, and third in the 200 meter dash.

Julianna Cottle placed third in the 400 meter dash and third in the 100 meter hurdles.

Leanna Sikes placed second in shot put and in discus, and Electra McGough competed in the 400 and 800 meter dashes.

The junior high girls placed fifth in the meet.

Varsity Track

Members of the Moran varsity track team will travel to May on Thursday, March 18 for the Tiger Relays.
