MHS tracksters run at Rising Star

The Moran varsity track team members competed in the first meet of the season on Thursday, March 4 in Rising Star. 

The next meet is scheduled for Thursday, March 18 at the May Tiger Relays.

Varsity Girls Results

Alli Scott placed second in long jump, first in the 100 meter dash, and first in the 300 meter hurdles.

Hannah Noble came in first in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash. 

Johnnie Hise was second in high jump, and fourth in the 800 meter dash.

Dariann Hawley placed fourth in the high jump, third in the 800 meter dash, and second in the 1600 meter run. 

Emily Murk placed third in the 400 meter dash and fourth in the 200 meter dash. 

Chloe Hendricks placed fourth in the 200 meter dash, and sixth in the 100 meter dash. 

The 4 x 200 meter relay team of Scott, Hise, Hawley, and Hendricks placed first in the event. 

Also participating in the meet were Hannah Rogers and Harmony Slaughter in the shot put and discus. 

 Varsity Boys Results

Arren Hawley placed third in the 400 meter dash.

Corey Miller was first in the 400 meter dash and first in the 800 meter dash.

Memphis McGough finished first in the 400 meter dash and fifth in the 800 meter dash.

Danny O’Keefe placed second in the 100 meter dash and fourth in the 400 meter dash.

Connor Hail was fourth in the 100 meter dash, and Caleb York placed fourth in the 100 meter dash and was fourth in the 400 meter dash. 

Zach Henderson also competed in shot put and discus at the meet. 

Junior High Track

The Moran junior high track team members’ next meet will be on Monday, March 15 at the May Tiger Relays. 

Football All-State

Moran Varsity Bulldogs Arren Hawley and Corey Miller were recently named to the T6MCA Academic All-State Football team.
