Moran had seven runners compete Wednesday, Sept. 28 at Rotan. The meet was the final tuneup before the District 13-1A meet on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Eula.

Moran had five girls and two boys compete at Rotan.

“Everybody improved on their times,” Hise said. “This meet gave us a lot of practice. The kids know what to expect at district and understand the mental strength needed to get done what we need to do.”

Moran Volleyball

The Moran Lady Bulldogs volleyball team had a difficult week as they geared up for district play, dropping a pair of matches.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Moran lost in three sets at Woodson. On Friday, Sept. 30, the Lady Bulldogs suffered another three-set loss to Rochelle at home. Set scores for the matches were not available.

On Tuesday, Oct. 4, Moran closed out nondistrict play against Abilene TLC at home. Results will be reported next week.

The Lady Bulldogs open District 14-1A play Saturday, Oct. 8 at Strawn.

We’re trying to get our momentum going by Saturday,” coach Jo Hise said.
