MHS hurdler to compete at state

Moran sophomore athlete Alli Scott punched her ticket to the state meet after taking first place in the 100 meter hurdles at the Region 2 1A track meet at Angelo State University on April 23-24.

She will compete at the state track meet in Austin on Saturday, May 8.

Scott also tied for sixth place with Johnnie Hise in the high jump and earned 10th place in the long jump.

In addition to the high jump, Hise competed in the 800 meter run, placing 15th. 

Hannah Noble won eighth in the 100 meter dash and sixth in the 200 meter run. 

The 800 meter relay team of Scott, Hise, Noble, and Dariann Hawley finished 12th, putting the varsity girls track team in 17th place overall at the meet.

Corey Miller represented the varsity boys track team and earned 12th place in the 400 meter run.
