Local athletes to play in upcoming FCA games

Eight Albany High School seniors will be competing in the upcoming Big Country Fellowship of Christian Athletes All-Star games over the next two weeks.

AHS basketball coach Tate Thompson is spending the week in Brownwood helping coach the girls south basketball team.

Thompson’s game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5 at Brownwood High School.

Local FCA representative Paul Johnston with the Big Country East division will be hosting the FCA golfers Sunday, June 6 to Tuesday, June 8 at Solid Rock Encampment in Eastland. 

Representing Albany on the FCA North baseball team are Parker Henry, Cade Neve, Jackson Chapman, and William Webb.

The North team will face the South at Nathan Donsky Field in San Angelo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11.

Alli Hill and Torie Fuentes will represent Albany on the FCA North volleyball team and will play  at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12 at Wylie High School.

Wesley Estridge will play on the Blue football team and Ryder Wilkins will sport a Red jersey during the FCA football game scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12 at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene.

Tickets for all games will be available at the gate and will cost $5 each.
