Little League sign-up to end

Albany Little League is wrapping up registration for its 2024 season this weekend.

Albany Little League organizer Paul Hamilton saidmorethan100players have registered so far. Last year, the youth baseball program had more than 140 participants.

Hamilton said the baseball program is conducting online registration again this year, with information on how to register available through Nancy Smith Elementary School.

Albany Little League offers competition in Tee-Ball, Coach Pitch, Little League Majors and Minors, Intermediate, and Junior leagues.

The season will start following Albany ISD’s spring break, which is March 11-15. Hamilton said an exact start date will be determined after registration is finished.

The season will last into May with all-star competition beginning in June.

Registration fees are $50 for T-ball and Coach Pitch, $75 for Majors and Minors, and $85 for Intermediate and Juniors. Scholarshipsareavailable.

Families having three or more children participating will receive a discount starting with the third child.
