Lions open season with win in Haskell

The Albany Lions opened their basketball season Tuesday, Dec. 19, just five days after finishing football, with a 46-36 win at Haskell in the District 10-2A opener for both teams.

The Lions, who had just one practice with players from football, are competing in the Brownwood tournament Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 2729, facing Waco Meyer at 10:40 a.m. in the first round.
