The Lion basketball teams hit the floor to practice this week, preparing for games at Highland on Friday.

Currently, two boys games are planned at Highland on Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. with the JV girls playing first.

The Albany boys will host Ballinger on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. with both a JV and varsity team suiting up.

Head basketball coach Ryder Peacock said the program may have enough players to also play a freshmen game, but that was still to be determined.

The boys are open next Tuesday, according to the schedule, but will return on Friday, Dec. 11 in Roby for games starting at 4:00 p.m.

Fans are urged to check the websites for out-of-town games to determine each opponents’ ticket sales policy. Many school are requiring advanced online purchasing of tickets in order to abide by the state’s 50 percent occupancy rule.
