The Lady Lions junior varsity teams went different directions for their matches on Sept. 28 with JV1 winning at Ranger, while the JV2 lost at Woodson.

At Ranger, JV1 won 25-5, 25-13 to improve to 12-5.

“The girls played fantastic and did not lower their level of play,” Coach Jamie Wilson said. “We had great plays set up for kills. It was a fun game to watch.”

At Woodson, the JV2 lost 19-25, 20-25 to drop to 3-11.

“This was not our best game, but the girls did show some fight at the end,” Wilson said, “We had some good runs on some of our serves. They are getting better every game.”

On Saturday, the JV1 girls defeated Woodson at home, winning 25-8, 25-19 to improve to 13-5.

“Little mistakes made the second set close, but the girls pulled it out,” Wilson said, “We saw some great things by everyone. We focused on just keeping the ball in play and letting the opponent make the mistakes, and it worked well for us.”
