Lady Lions Begin Season With Strong Showing

The Albany Lady Lions volleyball team opened the 2026 regular season Tuesday with home dual matches against Aspermont and Merkel after scrimmages Friday and Saturday.

Albany’s varsity, JV1 and JV2 teams competed against the visiting teams. The varsity defeated both Aspermont and Merkel, with scores of 25-6, 25-11, 25-20 against Merkel and 25-17, 24-26, 25-9, 27-25 in the Aspermont match.
