The Lady Lions evened out their district record with a win over Moran on Saturday, and traveled to Woodson on Tuesday.

Albany came home with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-14 win over Woodson improving the district mark to 3-2.

The team will be on the road again on Friday to end the first half of the district schedule in Ranger with a 4:30 p.m. start for the JV, followed by the varsity at 5:30 p.m.

Albany will host Strawn on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 6:00 p.m. to open the second round.

The Lady Lions defeated Moran in three straight sets on Saturday, 25-15, 25-10, 25-15.

“It felt good to get back on the winning track and even out our district record,” coach Kimberly Hill said. “We are still playing without a complete team due to injuries, but we were able to try out a couple of different looks with our line-up and still win.”

The coach said the team served well and the girls were aggressive with an 88 percent success rate.

“Being more aggressive at the line did result in nine errors,” she added. “But the girls played well.”

The win improved the overall record to 7-10 for the season.
