The junior varsity Lions remain undefeated after a 46-0 rout over the visiting Hawley Bearcats last Thursday.

The JV will host Roscoe’s JV on Thursday following the junior high games that start at 4:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. The JV is expected to begin about 6:30 p.m.

The JV is now 4-0 for the season after the win over Hawley.

Robert Bailey scored three times for the Lions on runs of 2, 76, and 40 yards, plus running in a two-point play.

Brooks Neece scored on a one-yard run and also scored on a 25-yard pass from Cade Neve. Neece also scored on pair of two-point conversions.

Dillon Hindman ran in a 12-yard touchdown and a two-point play as well.

“Offensively, we moved the ball well,” coach David Fairchild said. “Cade Neve did a good job scrambling and getting positive yards for us, and Robert Bailey and Brooks Neece both ran the ball well.”

The coach also commended the offensive line.

“The line had another good night, and Ryan Mark did a good job at tight end,” the coach said.

Fairchild was also happy with the Lions getting another shutout.

“Cooper Fairchild had a fumble recovery and Luke Ivy picked off an interception,” he said. “We had a lot of people around the ball making plays.”

He also praised defensive ends Monte Cauble and Bryce Asher for anchoring the outside of the line, along with Riley Green, Everett McWhorter, Taren Farmer, and William Webb.
