The JV Lions posted a 40-0 win in Dublin last Thursday, improving to 2-0 for the season.

The Lions will travel to Hamlin on Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. game against the JV Pipers.

Tickets will be available at the gate in Hamlin, but fans will be required to wear masks and observe social distancing.

Adam Hill, London Fuentes, and Caden Price scored two times each in Dublin, as the Lion offense dominated the game.

Hill scored on a pair of passes from quarterback Lute Wheeler from four yards and nine yards out to score.

Fuentes also scored on passes of nine yards and 14 yards from Wheeler for two more touchdowns. Price scored a two-point run following one of the tallies.

Price added two touchdowns on runs of one yard and 14 yards, and Samuel Rosas also ran in one two-pointer.

“The offensive line blocked well, and the backs ran hard,” coach Rod Britting said. “Lute and the receivers did a good job with our passing game.”

The coach credited both Lanxton Viertel and Kea-tin Russell with fumble recoveries, while Cort Peterson and Clay Green had interceptions.

“Our defense got another shutout and are getting better each week,” the coach said.
