“The girls got a great win against a big, tough Hawley team,” coach Jamie Wilson said. “We shot well from outside the arc and finished well down low too. We got several steals from our full-court press that ended in layups for us.”

Ashlyn Holson was the offensive leader with 15 points, along with Kiana Roberson 7, Robin Lucas 5, Brooklyn Abbate 2, Maci Hatchett 2, and Jaci Chapman 2.

The team hit 24 percent from the floor and 44 percent at the line.

“The game was close the entire time,” coach Dakota Fowler said. “I was proud of how the girls stayed calm and kept pressure on the ball with amazing defense. I love seeing how they improve with each game.”

Scoring were Caroline Holson 8, Abi Grace Hale 2, Avery Everitt 6, Julia Vega 4, and Makenna McNeill 2.

The combined B team also won in Hawley, 12-7.
