The Lady Cubs volleyball season started this week with games hosted in Albany against Woodson, and Cub football is slated to kick off on Thursday (today) in Dublin.

Results of the volleyball games were not available at press time but will be reported next week.

The seventh grade Cubs will start the action in Dublin at 4:30 p.m., with the eighth grade following at 5:30 p.m. There will be a JV game after the junior high bouts.

Fans wanting to attend the Dublin games must purchase tickets online at www.dublinisd.us in advance. The cost is $3 per person and can be purchased with credit card only on the website. No tickets will be available at the stadium prior to the game.

Ticket holders will also be required to wear face coverings throughout the games while in the stands due to the coronavirus.

The Lady Cubs will be in action again next Tuesday, Sept. 8, with the eighth grade hosting Moran at 5:00 p.m. The seventh grade will travel to Abilene Christian School for a 5:30 p.m. game.

Both the seventh and eighth grade teams will return to Abilene Christian School on Monday, Sept. 14 for a pair of games.

The Cubs will travel to Hamlin on Thursday, Sept. 10. The seventh grade will play an Abilene Wylie team starting tat 4:00 p.m. followed by the eighth graders playing Hamlin at 5:00 p.m.

The Cubs will play their first home games on Sept. 17 against Haskell. Games are on the schedule to start at 4:00 p.m.
