The Albany Junior High Cubs and Lady Cubs got in four games Monday, Dec. 4, but it took some juggling.

Because Hamlin has just one girls team, the seventh grade Lady Cubs played Cisco at home before theboysteamstookon Hamlin.Theeighthgrade girls played at Hamlin.

The junior high teams close out the fall portion of the schedule Monday, Dec. 11 against Anson. The girls games will be at homewiththeboysonthe road. Games start at 5:30 p.m. in both locations.

After the Christmas break, the teams resume play Thursday, Jan. 11 against Cisco.

Eighth Grade Girls TheeighthgradeLady Cubs rallied for a 13-10 win at Hamlin.

Finlee Brown scored nine points with Cayla Green and Charli Trail each scoring two.

Albany led 6-0 after the first quarter, but Hamlin closed to within 8-6 at halftime and took a 10-8 lead in the third. Brown scored five points in the fourth quarter to put Albany back in front.

Seventh Grade Girls The seventh grade Lady Cubs had little trouble adapting to the change in plans, defeating theCiscoBteam23-4.

Albany held Cisco scoreless in three quarters and led 13-0 at halftime.

Keeley Britting scored eight points to lead Albany with Tinley Hefner scoring six, Avery Gleitz five, and Hailey Gleitz four.

Eighth Grade Boys TheeighthgradeCubs defeated Hamlin 42-7, jumping out to a 19-0 lead in the first quarter.

Clay Chapman scored 15 points, and Jakobi Roberson added 14 to lead Albany. Bennett Neece chipped in seven points, with Aiden Vickers scoring four and Ace Vickers two.

Seventh Grade Boys The seventh grade Cubs also cruised to a win, beating Hamlin 43-18.

AlbanyheldHamlinto no more than six points in a quarter while scoring at least seven.

Blake Britting led all scorers with 19 points, hitting three 3-pointers, whileLyleWheeleradded 13 points.Also scoring for the Cubs were Jathan Perez with four points, Ace Townson with three, and Levi Murphy and Sam Tidwell with two apiece.
