The Albany Golf Club’s annual Labor Day tournament is scheduled for the upcoming holiday weekend, Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2 at the local course.

“We still have spots open for 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon,” said golf club president Randy Walker. “Teams will then be flighted for Sunday tee times after Saturday’s rounds.”

The entry fee for the two-person scramble is $160 per team and includes one mulligan per player per day.

The entry fee also covers a brisket meal on Saturday evening.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each flight.

A limited number of golf carts are available for reservation.

“We have plenty of spots available in the tournament,” Walker said. “Come on and sign up!”

Team members who want to register can contact James Waters at 325-627-3598.

Weekly golf scrambles will continue into the fall months on Wednesday afternoons, starting at 5:30 p.m. each week. The entry fee for those events is $10 for club members and $15 for non-members.
