The 14th annual John Rose & Jim Law Memorial Albany Kiwanis Charity Golf Tournament and Fajita Fiesta has been postponed until Friday,  Oct. 15.

Kiwanian Zach Maberry said the decision was made to push the event back two weeks because of  a forecast calling for a 50+ percent chance of rain on Friday.

The event raises funds for the Albany K Charity Scholarship Fund as well as a number of other projects.

Maberry said that entries are still being accepted. As of Monday, there were 11 teams entered.

Entry fee is $50 per person, which includes a Fajita Fiesta meal. Golfers may also purchase up to four mulligans at $10 each.

The Fajita Fiesta is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. with the scramble’s shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

The lunch is open to nongolfers at $15 a plate.

For information, contact Maberry at 325-660-7940 or zmaberry@fnbab.com, Robert Dacus at 325-762-2221 or rdacus@fnbab.com, or Steve Waller at 325-627-7952 or swaller@ffn.com.

Checks should be made payable to Albany K Charity and sent ATTN: Paul Hamilton, PO Box 2803, Albany TX 76430.
