Golf club election set Oct. 15

Albany Golf Club will hold its annual business meeting Saturday, Oct. 15, in advance of its club championship tournament.

President Randy Walker said two directors positions are coming open, including Walker’s post.

“James Waters and I are up for reelection again,” Walker said. “I’m not sure if anybody else is interested in serving.”

Following the meeting and election, the club will conduct a 36-hole individual tournament on Oct. 15-16.

“We’ll have a regular division, a senior division, and possibly a women’s division.”

Walker said the tourney will be the final event of 2022 for the club.

“We’ll wait to the start of the year to look at what we need to do," Walker said.
