The Lady Bulldogs lost games to Gorman, Bluff Dale, and Mullin, beat Rochelle, and took Bluff Dale in a rematch before falling again to the host team at the Gorman Spikefest Tournament earlier this month, according to coach Dakota Fowler.

Moran continued to travel, and lost in Aspermont on Tuesday, Aug. 21, before heading to Lingleville for a tournament last weekend.

Results of the first game at the Gorman Spikefest were reported last week.

The Lady Bulldogs lost two close sets to Bluff Dale to drop their second tournament game 21-25, 22-25.

Mullin outplayed Moran in the first set of the third game 16-25, but the Lady Bulldogs came back to make it a tight match in the second set, before falling 24-26.

Moran triumphed over Rochelle, and took the fourth game 25-8, 25-8.

In a rematch against Bluff Dale the Lady ‘Dawgs pulled out a win in three sets, dropping the first 23-25, but coming back to take the next two 25-23, 15-10.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped their final game to Gorman 8-25, 14-25 and ended in fourth place at the Spikefest tournament.

“Two of our players were named All Tournament at Gorman!” Fowler said. “Summer Pederson is a senior and she plays middle hitter and middle blocker. Freshman Johnnie Hise plays all the way around, and she is our setter, middle hitter, and middle blocker.”

Moran lost all three of their sets in Aspermont, 9-25, 12-25, and 10-25.

The Lady Bulldogs lost three games and won one in Lingleville last weekend. They returned to Lingleville for a matchup with the Lady Cardinals on Tuesday, Aug. 28. Results of that game were not available at press time.

The Lady Bulldogs will host Knox City this Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m., before taking to the highway to Ranger to start district competition on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Tuesday, Sept. 11, Moran will welcome Strawn to both junior high and varsity games starting at 5:00 p.m.
