Flag football teams play Saturday

The Albany NFL Flag Football League begins the second half of its season this week with four teams having managed to avoid a loss.

Week 4 games start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Albany High School track infield.

The Cowboys (Kindergarten-First Grade) and Broncos (Fourth-Sixth Grade) improved to 3-0 to remain atop the standings in their divisions. The Bengals and Titans continue to share the lead in the Second-Third Grade division at 2-0-1.

Defense was a big factor in Week 3 games with three teams recording shutouts and two more holding opponents to a single touchdown. Three games were decided by 14 points or less.

Kindergarten-First Grade (9:00 a.m.) – Cowboys 32, Chiefs 0; Seahawks 12, Ravens 0

Second-Third Grade (10:00 a.m.) – Bengals 32, Vikings 6; Titans 20, Bills 0

Fourth-Sixth Grade (11:00 a.m.) – 49ers 20, Eagles 6; Broncos 20, Chargers 14

Week 4 GAMES

Kindergarten-First Grade (9:00 a.m.) – Ravens vs. Cowboys, Seahawks vs. Chiefs

Second-Third Grade (10:00 a.m.) – Titans vs. Bengals, Bills vs. Vikings

Fourth-Sixth Grade (11:00 a.m.) – 49ers vs. Broncos, Eagles vs. Chargers
