Clifton Tournament

The Lady Lions won two rounds and lost three at the tournament.

“This was a good tournament for us,” coach Jimmy Fuentes said. “We were able to get some much-needed time and reps in before the start of district. It gave us a final opportunity to look at some different personnel moves and tweak the batting order to find our best set-up.”

The coach noted that the tournament provided competition against mostly larger schools.

“We played well against some good competitors,” he said. “We had our moments where we made mistakes, but the girls responded well and overcame them. I feel like we are going into district with some momentum.”
