Deadline extended for local Little League

Deadline for player registration for Albany Little League has been extended to Friday, Feb. 24, according to league organizer Paul Hamilton.

Registration forms are available at Nancy Smith Elementary School and Albany Junior/Senior High. Online registration is available at albanytxll.com.

Albany Little League is open to boys and girls to play at the T-ball, Coach Pitch, Minor, Major, Intermediate and Junior levels.

Registration fees are $50 for T-ball and Coach Pitch, $75 for Major and Minor, and $85 for Intermediate and Junior.

Albany Softball Assn.

The Albany Softball Association has concluded player registration, but is still seeking officials and sponsors to help cover costs for the program.

The league offers competition in 8U, 10U, and 12U age groups.

The league will begin play in March following the conclusion of the Little Dribblers season. The softball season will extend into early May, but finish before the end of the school year. Local teams are expected to play opponents from Cisco, Eastland, and Breckenridge as they did last year.
