Albany News

The junior high Cubs were supposed to open the district race this week against Baird, but the Bear Cubs are not fielding 11-man teams this year.

Albany picked up games on the road against Stamford starting at 4:00 p.m. with the seventh grade. The eighth grade Cubs will follow at about 5:15 p.m.

Junior high games normally precede the JV game, but the JV is off this week.

The Cubs will play a regular district schedule for the remainder of the season, starting Oct. 18 at home against Roscoe at 4:00 p.m. The Cubs will be on the road on Oct. 25 for games at Cross Plains and Roby, starting at 4:00 p.m.

Both teams will host Haskell on Nov. 1, followed by a seventh grade only game in Haskell the following week on Nov. 8.

The eighth grade Cubs will finish the season hosting Hamlin in a 5:00 p.m. bout on Nov. 8.
