Cross Plains games to be reported next week

The Moran Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs basketball teams continued with theDistrict13-1Aschedule last week, both taking a pair of road losses.

On Tuesday, Jan. 23, Moran players visited Cross Plains. Results will be reported next week.

MoranhostsRisingStar on Friday, Jan. 26. The girls game tips off at 6:00 p.m., with the boys to start at 7:30 p.m.

Boys Basketball

OnTuesday,Jan.16,the Bulldogs lost 90-7 at Eula after several team members spent the day competing attheFortWorthStock Show and Rodeo.

Caleb York led Moran with four points. Garrett Hamilton scored two and Cotten Campbell had one.

On Friday, Jan. 19 at Baird, the Bulldogs fell 50-30 to the Bears.

Campbell scored nine points to lead Moran, and Ellis Hise added seven. York finished with five points, Hamilton four, ZechHendersonthree,and Landon Moreno two.

Girls Basketball

The Lady Bulldogs lost 66-6 at Eula. Individual scoring was not available.

At Baird, the Moran girls lost 39-8. MaeKayla Kersey, LeAnn Sikes, Kielar Carr, and Katie Breeden each scored two points.

Junior High

The Moran junior high basketball teams visited May on Monday, Jan. 22.

In the girls game, May won 26-2. Kaylee Sanchez scored Moran’s basket.

May won the boys game 37-8. Christian Rodriguez and Andy Barron scored three points apiece with Dylan Herod scoring two.

Moran will participate in the Paint Creek tournament on Saturday, Jan. 27, then host Eula on Monday, Jan. 29.
