Three Albany runners traveled to Merkel on Tuesday for their third meet of the season, with freshman Brylee Moore earning her second medal of the year.

She came in sixth out of 56 runners in the girls JV division.

“Two of our runners improved their times by more than a minute from last week,” said cross country coach Tate Thompson. “I feel they are getting the hang of things, getting in shape, and learning to push through their barriers.”

The next meet is hosted by Clyde Sept. 25 in Baird for both junior high and high school runners.

Albany’s meet is set Oct. 2, organized by FCA representative and former coach Paul Johnston, followed by the district meet Oct. 9 in Haskell.

Complete results for the Albany athletes are as follows:

Varsity Boys 3 miles

92 Runners

69. Isaiah Carrillo 21:39, 91. Tyler Waddell 27:51

JV Girls 2 miles
