Parents of girls from three years old through incoming sixth graders only have two days left to register their daughters for the 2019 Cheer Camp at the reduced rates of $35 per camper and $20 for each additional sibling before the cost for the popular cheerleading camp increases to $40 per child on July 20.

The camp will be held at the Albany High School gym from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on each of three days, Wednesday through Friday, July 24-26.

Junior high, junior varsity, and varsity cheerleaders will instruct the campers in basic cheerleading skills and dance routines, according to varsity cheerleading coach Lindsey Vaughn.

“The early registrants will also receive a camp T-shirt,” said Vaughn. “Although girls can still sign up at the door, we may not have  enough T-shirts for them.”

The participants will be invited to perform at the Booster Club’s Hamburger Supper Aug. 12.

Campers are divided into five groups, three-year-olds, pre-K and kindergarten, first and second grade, third and fourth grade, and fifth and sixth grade.

Registration forms are available at Brookshire’s, ResourceCare Day Camp, Prairie Star, First Love Day Care, City Pool, and the high school office.

The completed forms and registration fees can be returned to Vaughn or to the administrative office at Albany High.
