A trio of cross country runners placed at a meet in Hamlin on Sept. 23, continuing to improve their times.

The Albany High School cross country team will travel to Seymour next Wednesday, Oct. 7 for the next meet.

Brylee Moore took 13th place at the Hamlin meet with a time of 14:23. Maci Hachett finished 17th with a time of 14:48, while Briley Tabor ran a time of 14:50 for 19th place.

“We took a week off after the Hamlin meet to give ourselves some time to recover,” coach Tate Thompson said. “We now have three meets to prepare for the district meet in Anson on Oct. 28.”

The runners are scheduled to compete in Anson on Oct. 14 and in Munday on Oct. 21.

Four runners have been taking part in the girls program this fall, with several others training as part of their off-season workouts.
